WELCOME to Latina Crafter and this amazing Blog Hop for Caring Hearts Card Drive. If you don't know about this awesome card drive here is what you need to know "CHCD is a card drive organized by Vera Yates & Jennifer McGuire with the goal to collect holiday cards for the elderly that lives in nursing home. During this time many of the elderly who lives in nursing homes would really feel the loneliness or missing their family. Wouldn't it be so awesome if we can bring a smile to their face & brighten their holiday season simply by sharing our love of card making? A simple gesture to let them know that they are not forgotten".

As soon as I found out about this last year I jumped in and sponsor the hop. Since I was 3-4 years old I love to be close to the elderly, I used to share cups of coffee with my grandma's neighbors and they love it, every time someone passed by they told them that they have a special visitors who brought them coffee (of course there was just empty tea cups).

Here my project for this special HOP!! 

I decorated the pillow box with the Let it Snow stencil that comes in the Stencils Navidad kit using molding paste. Then I added, from the dollar bin, the doilies, the seam binding.  To finish it I added the pine garland with the twine, from the October Kit and a star pin from Maya Road. For the card I used the Trees stencil in the same kit (it comes with three different ones: Stars, Let it Snow and Trees) but this time I inked it with distress ink. I added Christmas twine and the Nativity Wood Veneer from the October Kit. Stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Nativity stamp and decorative paper from Carta Bella, a very simple card, but so cute!! I wanted to do use the Nativity image but I didn't have the time. My youngest daughter got sick this week and my oldest is in a Robotics team and in two weeks they are going to Texas Best Regionals so it has been a lot of work!!
